Brian Rourke’s Finest Fixie Ever

This is the bike that I managed to have built especially my photoshoot when nobody else were prepared to provide me a bike. I have ridden it and trust me, cycling it is first time out, as it is brakeless, is as scary as trying to navigate around Trafalgar Square on your first ride in London.

A massive props to Chris @ Brian Rourkes Cycles for building this bike especially for the shoot.

Laguna Seca ‘89
It was the race debut for any F40 and its only race of the season for that car, the other reason why i say that year was that that Audi 90 in the background was Audi’s only season in IMSA Camel GT (they did Trans-Am a season prior and went to DTM after that)

Things gym goers will never learn to enjoy (I used to commute 12 miles to a multi chain zero personality gym a lot in this and back and the commute was the only decent part there)
…inspite of a numerous failed descent down the stairs, detatching itself tied to a bike rack on a dual carriageway (resulting in a expensive repair bill explaining the non-OEM fork and saddle pictured), a nasty 30mph crash riding on wet November grass (and spent 2 mths with sore left arm) and one of the most beautiful experience of riding through a trainline in the snow and most fondest of all, on this day 3 years ago, buying this from a seller in London, cycling it back from Charing Cross to Euston via Trafalgar Square and then cycling it 10 miles home from Stoke station via Hanley in pouring rain, not forgetting the numerous shopping and location scouting trips for photo shoots.
Mid-shot of one of the most personal items I ever owned, the ‘09 Marin Novato following a routine wash. with Nuke Proof carbon fork and a barely visible SDG Bel-Air RL saddle.

Of the shots I have done, probably one of the most popular images that was not yet published on the internet until now, as public interest finally persuaded me to upload this on Flickr for the first time since it was shot in 2009.
It had not my favourite images until in recent years as it has this feel of 1950’s Hong Kong to it, which was how I grew to like it. View high resolution

My new self-created (1st of 2) logo, inspired by my film photography days.
I wanted to create a logo that was as close as I can get to photography without following cliches of other photographers’ logos hence my inspiration came from aperture rings of two different cameras. View high resolution

The first of a series of photographs from the Diversity Fashion Show I will be posting over the period and the only one for the day, because I prefer my opening to be grand, starting off with one of my personal favourite fashion show (and one of my top 50) photographs I ever shot and of the two shows I have ever done, my most favourite of the models and my lead source of inspiration for my few recent work.
Photographs from all the rest on the show can be found on my Facebook page
